Moving Vehicle – London Bus

Create a moving vehicle, inspired by the iconic London Bus, with age appropriate mechanisms (wheels and axles). Throughout this project, children will have an opportunity to explore existing products, design their product and use tools such as sandpaper and wood adhesive to make their piece.
Description
Each material pack comes with the following components:
- Chassis made from softwood
- Axles made from 4mm dowel
- Axle brackets made from laser cut card
- MDF wheels
Each material pack comes with all components – chassis, wheels and dowel, as well as design sheets for license plates and signage. Please note, we do not provide paint. This material pack includes the Hepp DT design portfolio that covers the design, make, evaluate and technical knowledge aspects of the project.
To be able to cut the dowel to the correct length, you will need junior hacksaws, bench hooks and g-clamps. If you do not have these tools in school, please select the ‘components pre-cut’ option at checkout.
Each material pack comes with sandpaper and PVA wood adhesive as standard.
