Each material pack comes with all components needed to make the perfect mini-beast hotel or den! This is a perfect EYFS and Key Stage 1 project as it links perfectly with the wider curriculum and Science when studying the natural environment and the habitats of animals.
Throughout this project, children will have an opportunity to explore existing products, design their product and use tools such as sandpaper and wood adhesive to make their piece.

Each material pack comes with all components needed to make the perfect mini-beast hotel or den! This material pack includes the Hepp DT design portfolio that covers the design, make, evaluate and technical knowledge aspects of the project.
This is a perfect EYFS and Key Stage 1 project as it links perfectly with the wider curriculum and Science when studying the natural environment and the habitats of animals.
This material pack can be either ‘pre-cut’ with 5 holes already drilled or ‘left to cut’ for the children to have experience of using a drill. We recommend using a cordless drill with a 7mm drill bit. When drilling, the timber must be securing clamped down and the user must wear safety goggles.
Each material pack comes with sandpaper and PVA wood adhesive as standard.
