Each resource kit includes:
- Jelutong
- Grey board for base and bracing
- Card for shell and flag
- LED light
- 9v battery clip
- Electrical tape
This resource kit includes the electronic Hepp DT design portfolio that covers the design, make, evaluate and technical knowledge aspects of the project as well as step by step video instructions. Access to these documents will be sent to the email address on the order form. If you require it to be sent to a different email address, please state this in the ‘notes’ section when ordering.
To be able to cut the jelutong to the correct length, you will need junior hacksaws, bench hooks and g-clamps. If you do not have these tools in school, please select the ‘components pre-cut’ option at checkout. Children can also use a variety of embellishments to ‘finish’ their item appropriately (please note, we do not provide embellishments and paint). Children are particularly successful at finding random ‘bits and pieces’ to add to the base of the Anderson Shelter to improve their final design. We offer ‘off cuts of materials’ free of charge to help with this (find it in the resource shop).
Basic tools such as junior hacksaws, g-clamps, bench hooks and cordless drills, can be bought from our resource shop.
Each resource kit comes with sandpaper and PVA wood adhesive as standard.
