Grow Your Own Planter

Each material pack comes with the following components:

• Plywood sides, ends and base
• Dowel for handle

Each material pack comes with all components needed to make your very own ‘grow your own planter’! This material pack includes the Hepp DT design portfolio that covers the design, make, evaluate and technical knowledge aspects of the project.

This project is perfect to introduce the children to the use of basic tools – such as junior hacksaws and g-clamps as one end of the planter will be left for the children to cut the corners off. If you do not have access to these basic tools, then please select the ‘pre-cut’ option at checkout. This project will also require the use of a cordless drill and a 6.5mm drill piece. If you do not have the use of a drill, again, select the pre-cut option at the checkout as all pieces will have the necessary holes drilled.

This is a perfect EYFS and Key Stage 1 project as it links perfectly with the wider curriculum and Science when studying the natural environment, sustainability and the growing of fruits and vegetables.

Each material pack comes with sandpaper and PVA wood adhesive as standard.
